DriveMate KingKong: Simple Speedometer Application with Speed Warning Chime
DriveMate KingKong is a free Android application software that allows users to monitor their speed and distance while driving, cycling, jogging, or walking. The app uses GPS signals to display your current speed and distance traveled in kilometers or miles. The retro design of the speedometer adds a nostalgic touch, and the speed warning chime feature alerts users when they exceed the set speed limit. The application software is named after the "dingdong" alarm sound of the Japanese cars between 1974 and 1986.
The speedometer can display speeds between 0 and 180 km/h (MPH). There is an additional function that allows users to set the highest speed limit from four selections. The satellite icon under the meter informs users of GPS signal reception status. The speed warning chime can be customized by tapping the Setting button and moving the red needle displayed on the screen with your finger. The application software also features a traveling distance meter that shows the distance traveled while the app is turned on. However, the warning lamp under the meter lights up when a "certain condition" is met.
